Introduction • Did you know that more than 14,000 people in ancient Greece used to visit the theatre. • When learning about ancient Greek theatre one should know: why is it important, what did they act, when, where and why was it held. • Theatre is about expressing emotion in a fun and entertaining manner.
Famous devotes to the theatre • During the 6th century a Greek singer named Thespis quit the chorus that he was singing in and started his career of being the first ever actor. • Sophocles was a writer who wrote more than 100 plays.
Affect of Theatre to our modern day: • Without us realizing theatre is entertaining us every single day even at home. For example: when you go home and you’re tired and then eat lunch, after that you turn on your television and think to your self that you might do your homework later. But what you DONT realize is that when you watch TV what you’re watching is actually inspired by theatre, now known as acting. As you can relate to this, the concept is still the same its just the style of acting is what has changed. To this From this
