  2. Outline of the Weekly Sessions The E-Genting Programming Competition will be held on26 November 2005 at Genting Highlands.First prize RM5,000. Second prize RM2,500. Third prize RM 1,500.

  3. Why do we need specifications? • so that a system buyer knows what he can expect from a system developer; • so that the system developer knows what he has to deliver to the system buyer; • so that a large system can be broken down into smaller components that can be programmed in parallel and will fit together when they’re finished.

  4. Specifications Become Law • specifications get incorporated into contracts; • contracts are private law.
