LNP Board Established Shadow board Oct 12 Established main Board with key sector engagement Jan 13 Strategic sub group Feb 13, develop outline for strategy Strategic Vision approved August 2013 First implementation group September 2013 Initial priority work identified November 2013 Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull Local Nature Partnership

Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull Local Nature Partnership Communication work: • Set up new Web page summer 2013: http://www.warwickshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/local-nature-partnership. • Board papers available on webpage • Meetings held with all local authority Chief Executives in 2013; circulation of information to all MPs • Film: Wild thing launched and shown publicly; gaining momentum. • Consultation on Strategic vision to be launched today Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull Local Nature Partnership

  4. Worked with Coventry and Warwickshire LEP: active input to European Structural Investment Fund (ESIF), and drafting of Chapter 6, Environmental protection. • Initial report on ecosystems services fulfilled. Results being analysed. • Tame Valley Wetlands HLF Landscapes partnerships application submitted Dec 13 by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust for partnership Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull Local Nature Partnership

  5. Delivery examples • 1.2 ha new native tree plantation completed over 2 sites by WWT 2013/14 • Rugby BC Jubilee Woodland planting on target • MSc project initiated with University of Warwick to assess potential re woodfuel production Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull Local Nature Partnership

  6. Water quality work • Tame catchment plan produced for Birmingham, Warwickshire and Staffordshire sections by BBCWTrust • Catchment wide approach developing for Avon • Coventry Brookstray report of walkovers and projects identified Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull Local Nature Partnership

  7. Proposal re Board for 2014/15 • Proposal paper • Current Board members are willing to continue. For Health and Well Being, Nicola Wright instead of John Linnane • Ed Green to replace Stephen Trotter • Solihull member to be finalised • Place for LEP member Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull Local Nature Partnership
