  2. What is Netfix? • NetFix is a website which seeks to answer a number of questions for its users: • Who goes to Villanova University from my Hometown ? • Whose that cute girl who lives in 208 St Clare ? • What do the freshman look like this year ?

  3. What is NetFix? • NetFix is a website powered by mySQL and PHP to send and retrieve information • Users can create their own profile and in turn search the database for other users meeting their search queries. AMAZING!

  4. Getting Started • NetFix is a web-based application. • NEED BROWSER AND VALID E-MAIL! • Once your browser is open, jump to http://www.adrianswork.com/netFix. From there, click on the Register button.

  5. Registration Page • Enter in information and click the Mail Confirmation button. Uses double password verification. • Checks for E-mail and Username uniqueness. • Otherwise you will be given the message, “YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERED. You will receive a confirmation email soon.”

  7. Logging In/Out + Security • Logging in leaves a cookie • Logging out removes the cookie • Your profile is secure

  8. Replacing Lost Passwords • In the case that you’ve lost your password click on the Forgot My Password button. • Enter in the e-mail address and click on the Send Password button. • You will receive an e-mail with your newly generated password. • Users should visit the change password section.

  10. Changing Passwords • Once you’ve logged in you can change your password by clicking on the Change Password button. Once again, double password verification. • The next time you login you will need to use your new password.

  11. Changing Registered E-mail Addresses • Once you’ve logged in you can change your registered e-mail address by clicking on the Change E-Mail button. • A message will display to confirm the address you entered – guaranteeing that this is the address you desire to use.

  12. Creating Your Profile • Once you have logged in you can edit your profile by clicking on the Edit My Profile button. • Enter in the information and click on the Edit User Date button. Now people can begin to see your information when they run searches!

  13. Searching • Once you accessed the main page you can begin searching for other peoples profiles. • Check any categories you want to search by, fill in the info, and click submit • The community is at your fingertips

Future Enhancements • Finish Pictures so That each users image is displayed in their profile • Fix Edit Profile Form so that you choose State, City, Dorm, and Major from Drop Downs • Fix Search so that the user searching isn’t displayed twice if they match the query results. Also Fix Search so that its uses 2 or more search fields as an AND and not an OR.
