Halifax surfing school is one of the best schools for learning to surf for beginners. Surfing is practiced in two main areas, namely, Martinique beach, and Lawrence town beach. The instructors in our school have as many years of experience in Canada and overseas. Included, we work the entire week, so it makes learners comfortable to choose their classes. The learners use quality gears and the suits they are using are well maintained by our school so that they feel comfortable when practicing.   3. INTRODUCTION • Martinique Beach has the most consistent and best learn to surf waves in Nova Scotia. At all tides, the beach is sandy with a gently-sloping sand bottom. Avoid the rocks and crowds at Lawrencetown Beach. Martininque offers 4.5 kilometers of sandy beach. This is a great beach for a surfing lesson in Nova Scotia. • 40 minutes from Halifax. 25 minutes from Dartmouth. Martinique Beach is one of the prettiest beaches in Nova Scotia and a true nature escape. Free parking is available. • $80 surfing lessons feature 1-hour with an instructor and then include gear rental for the rest of the day. Keep your wetsuit and surfboard after your lesson and surf until you're tired. Bring some friends along and spend the entire day surfing until you can't move your arms any longer!

SURFING LESSONS • Beginner / newer surfer lesson: $80 per person. • This lesson is designed for brand new surfers or for newer surfers who have surfed less than 4-5 times. • 1-hour surfing lesson with an instructor. • After the lesson, your surfboard and wetsuit rental is included for the rest of the day - surf until you're tired! • Booties and gloves included during colder weather. • Small group sizes for quality learning. • Excellent gear that makes learning as easy as possible. • Local expert advice on surfing conditions.

  6. LAWRENCETOWN BEACH • Lawrencetown beach is one of Nova Scotia’s most popular surfing beaches. • It’s best on a lower tide. • Although a good location, Martinique Beach is superior for your Nova Scotia surfing lesson.

  7. MARTINIQUE BEACH • Without a doubt, Martinique Beach is the best beach to learn to surf in Nova Scotia. • 4 km of beach – easy to find a wave to yourself. Lawrencetown is far more crowded • Halifax Surf School lessons and rentals available at Martinique Beach • Martinique is one of the most beautiful beaches in nova Scotia • On windy days, Martinique can provide some shelter and offer cleaner waves than Lawrencetown • Only 40 minutes from Halifax and 30 minutes from Dartmouth • Gently-sloping sandy beach with no rocks in the surfing areas. • Most consistent waves in the entire province.
