  2. Fall 2012 Review • First Time Freshmen (FTF) • # of applications received – 27,292 • # admitted – 18,573 • Average GPA – 3.14 • Average SAT (Math & CR) – 880 • Average ACT (composite) – 17.5 • # estimated enrolled – 3000

  3. Fall 2013 Admissions • Accepting undergrad applications from: • First time freshmen (FTF) • Upper division transfers (UDT) • Golden 4 completed with ‘C’ or better • No undeclared majors • Coursework accepted through Spring 2013 for Fall 2013 admissions consideration

  4. Campus Impaction • Priority admission consideration to local admission area applicants. • Campus impaction FTF Eligibility Index cut-off for non-local area will be based on pool of applicants. • Students should take and submit ACT/SAT regardless of GPA • Local area determination will be based on location of the high school from which they graduate

  5. Local Admission Area • Chancellor’s Office designated service area is our local area • Schools with historical relationships with CSULA Map of CSULA Local Area

  6. Program Impaction • Must indicate alternate major on CSU Mentor App • Psychology – ranked by Eligibility Index (GPA & SAT/ACT) • Advanced standing majors • If meet minimum CSU Freshman admission criteria, students admitted as “Undeclared w/ an interest in…” • Students must apply to the major after completion of select pre-requisite courses/units and obtaining minimum GPA at CSULA. • Child Development • Criminal Justice • Nursing • Social Work

Early Start Program • For Fall 2013, Early Start Program in Summer 2013: • Admitted FTF who submitted their enrollment confirmation deposit will be notified via email in May 2013 • Students may declare their ESP plans via the CSULA GET website. • Additional information will be shared with students at time of admission notification. • www.calstatela.edu/univ/admiss/estart

Fall 2013 Timeline • Application filing period • October 1, 2012 - November 30, 2012 • Admission status notifications • For localarea and non-impactedprograms – begins February 2013 • For non-localarea and impactedprograms – begins March 2013 • The University uses EMAIL as the primary method of communication.

Fall 2013 Deadlines • CSU Mentor Application – 11/30/12 • SAT/ACT Testing – December 2012 • Application Fee Payment –12/15/12 • Application Updates – 2/1/13 • For applicants with foreign coursework: • English Proficiency Exam scores – 2/1/13 • Enrollment Confirmation Deposit ($100) – 5/1/13 • Recommended EPT/ELM test date –March 2013 • Orientation Reservation – 7/1/13 • Mandatory for First Time Freshmen • Final Transcript & Test Scores –7/15/13 • Graduation Date & Official Signature

Verification & Appeals • Initial offer of conditional admissions based on self-reported data on CSU Mentor application. • Final transcripts and SAT/ACT test scores are used to verify final admissions eligibility. • Students may appeal admission decision only if due to missing info or University error. • Appeals must be submitted within 15 days of notice of admission decision. • Supporting documentation required • www.calstatela.edu/univ/admiss/appeal
