  2. Introducing ……. Bessie Coleman • Born on : January 26, 1892 in Atlanta, Texas • Death on: April 30, 1926 of plane crash. The plane shutdown. • Bessie lived with her mother and father in a small house. • Bessie was a very clever girl, she known more than the teacher at her school.

  3. Bessie’s Childhood • Bessie lived with her mother, father, brothers and sisters. • Bessie would go to school sometimes . She was a very smart girl. • What influenced her is she read about a woman who got a license to be a pilot.

  4. Bessie’s Best Achievement • Bessie was the first African American woman to fly an airplane. • All woman couldn’t do anything. The only thing that woman could do is cook, clean and take care of their children. • Bessie’s brother said to her that she couldn’t be a pilot because she was a girl. Bessie wanted to show her brother she could do more.

  5. How Bessie inspired me…… • I thought that Bessie was fearless and brave because woman back then couldn’t do anything, but Bessie did. She no woman can do, she became a pilot. • I chose this person because when I read the first pages of my book I pictured how her life was. • Bessie’s life was hard for her she didn’t go to school everyday like the white children. She had to work in the cotton fields sometimes with her mother, brothers and sisters.
