  2. GALAXIA ELIPTICA • La imagen tradicional de las galaxias elípticas las presenta como galaxias donde la formación estelar terminó tras el estallido inicial, presentando ahora sólo viejas estrellas.

  3. GALAXIA ESPIRAL • El origen de éste tipo de estructura espiral se piensa que es debido a regiones de formación estelar que al irse propagando y extendiendo por áreas cercanas.

  4. GALAXIAS IRREGULARES • Una galaxia Irregular es una galaxia que no encaja en ninguna clasificación de galaxias de la secuencia de Hubble.

  5. GALAXIAS LENTICULARES • Las galaxias lenticulares constituyen un grupo de transición entre las galaxias elípticas y las espirales, y dividen entre 3 grupos:SO1, SO2 Y SO3.
