  2. XINFO V3R2 • New Scanners for DS (Distributed Systems) • Installation without z/OS • Support for MS-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) • Control-M Enhancements • UC4 Enhancements XINFO 3.2 is available since March 2006. It has following new functions:

  3. Unix and Windows Hardware Type = HDD (disc drive), BIOS, CDROM etc.

  9. Installation without z/OS XINFO 3.2 can be installed by using z/OS or Windows systems. The database and scanner installation is based on UNIX scripts and Install Shields.

  10. Installation without z/OS XINFO 3.2 is HORIZONT’s first IT information system that can be used also in organisations that do not use IBM mainframes. Possible combinations are (examples): • Control-M jobnetplans, plus information about installed hard- and software, and running daemons/services • Process and job history from all servers • Basic SAP information from all installed SAP systems • UC4 jobnetplans and information about space and services • ….

  11. MS-SQL Besides DB2 for z/OS and ORACLE, XINFO 3.2 can use another popular RDBMS: Microsoft SQL-Server (MS-SQL) In addition to z/OS DB2: ORACLE or MS-SQL

  12. Control-M The Control-M scanner implementation of XINFO 3.2 has following major enhancements: • Statistic table (duration, usage) • Forecast (planned start date and time) • Log table (IOALOG) • History (job run times, start- and end time, error code etc.) • z/OS is not needed anymore!

  13. UC4 The UC4 implementation has following enhancements: • Script commands in Includes and Pre-Script are interpreted • Jobruntimes (Job History) / Barchart • Forecast (based on UC4 Auto Forecast) • New display JobPlan+Jobs with all defined objects • Improved netplans
