  2. There Habitat, • there found in Florida, as far as north Virginia. they go west of Louisiana during warm summer months. The migrate to different places. • Food • grass, • turtle grass, • sea grass, • shoal grass, • different species of algae, mangrove leaves • these foods are found in salt waters

  3. Having them in are environment • How will not having this organism affect the environment? I don’t think this animal will really affect the environment as much as cow would, but they are very interesting creatures. How does having this organism affect the environment? well manatees eat the grass at sallow ends of the ocean, so if they didn’t get eaten then there would be a lot of grass in the ocean.

  4. What is being done to protect this organism? • They put up sighs saying to (Go slow around the manatee areas) What needs to be done to increase the numbers of this organism in the environment? They need to stop boats from going fast in shallow areas where manatees would be at. Any boat that Is going faster then 15-20 miles can hurt or kill a manatee

  5. Reason why I chose this animal I chose this animal because when I went to Florida a few years ago I saw there where manatees and I loved everything about them . They where very interesting to me.
