Lead-in Wire Manufacturers in India • In the field of electronics, leads play a very crucial role in proper, seamless functioning of almost all electronic gadgets. • They are used for a number of reasons, which range from • providing physical support • to transferring power • to probe the nature • functioning of a circuit • to transmit electronic data • and, although rarely, as a heat sink. • In layman’s terms, leads are also often called pins, because they look like pins.

  2. Most electrical devices that are found in electronic circuits usually have two leads. Examples of two-pin devices include capacitors, resistors and inductors. Three-pin devices include transistors. Modern integrated circuits can have hundreds, even thousands of pins. The average modern computer’s processor has more than a thousand contact pins. There are many different forms of contact pins, most of which are shaped in a particular way for a particular task.
