  3. Getting Warmed-up… Where do we see points and lines in the real world?

  4. Where are the points and lines? Do points have to be round?

  5. Notes: Points and Lines Point: It has location and nothing else. No size. No height. No depth. No friends. Named with one capital letter. Line: A straight, unbroken set of points that goes on forever. It has infinite length but no thickness.Named with two capital letters with a line and arrows on top. Order does not matter!

  6. Your Mission: • Create a geometry photo map! • You and your partner will get—a photo and a marker • On the picture: • Find at least 3 lines and 7 points. • Draw/trace the points and lines with your marker. • Label them all with letters. • On a separate sheet of paper list using proper geometric notation: • All of your points and what they represent. • All of your lines and what the represent. • TURN IN TWO SEPARATE LISTS!!

  7. Journal: Answer one (or more) of these—remember at least 3 sentences! What did you learn today? What do you think the most important idea from today is? Why? What questions do you still have?
