When you attempt to solve the murder, a hideous truth is revealed. For main character, Gus Carpenter, he isn’t just imagining.

  4. How Did I Come Across Starvation Lake? • When I was looking for a book at the airport before my sister and I left for Seattle over the summer, I found a book called Starvation Lake. It sounded interesting and I was very interested in murder mysteries. I read the book in two weeks and wanted to get The Hanging Tree, which is book two in the Starvation Lake series by Brian Gruley.
