  6. 2010: SeasonofPreparationandLearning GOALS: To participateinthemaximumnumberofraces (ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE callender), JUNIOR CUP (14 / 15 y.o.), withtheminimumbudgetpossible. To gatherexperience !

  7. Whatisthe ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE ? 2010: SeasonofPreparationandLearning Themostcompetitiveworldwidesinglebrandtrophy !

ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE INTERNACIONAL The ROTAX Trophyisnowadays, themostcompetitivechampionshipheldin Portugal, supportedby FPAK, andittakespartoftheInternational ROTAX Max Challenge, like similar trophiesinmanyothercountries. Eacheventisranin2 Races+ Final(beyondthe usual freeandqualificationpractices). Theraces compete invarious karting permanentcircuits, startingusuallyinAprilandendinginOctober. Atthe final oftheseason, the WORLD FINAL CUP isheld(atforeigncountry) withtheparticipationofthewinnerofeachnationalclass.

  11. 2010: SeasonofPreparationandLearning ENGINE: ROTAX 125 MAX JUNIOR CLASS. (125 cc, liquidcooled, +/- 23 hp – 14,000 rpm, max. speedup to 140 km/h) CHASSIS: INTREPID (ITALIA) 2010,WITH UPDATED SPECIFICATIONS. ACQUIRING RESOURCES / CREATING THE TEAM / THE FIRST RACES

  12. 2010: SeasonofPreparationandLearning To acquirespecifictoolsandtransportationtrailer. To establishprotocols: Use ofequipped “box” inthevariouscompetitions. RaceEngineer / Seniormechanic, a former karting pilotwithseveraltitlesand a representativeof Portugal inthe ROTAX WORLD FINALS, inItaly (2008).

  13. 2010: SeasonofPreparationandLearning In 2010, Bernardo participatedat Bombarral, Viana do Castelo and Portimão races, butmissesthe Santo André race (budgetrestrictions). Gainexperienceonthetrack, indirectcompetitionwithexperiencedpilots, with financial restrictions… thatwas a real challenge !

  14. 2010: SeasonofPreparationandLearning In a total of 16 pilotswhoscoredtheRotaxChallenge, withlimitedresourcesandwithevidencebadluck (crashedbyotherwhenin 4th place, problemswithpipepetrolwhenin 6th, crashedbyotherwhenin 2nd place), hefinnishedtheTrophyin 9th place. Butthegrab for “revenge” remained ! In 2011, whoknows ?

  17. 2011:Prospects 2011 has to be a seasonyetwith a more ambitioustarget, sincepreparedwith financial meansthat a simple “FATHERSPONSOR” cannotachieve ! Theaimisto fight for the 3 firstpositionsattheendofthetrophy, withbalancedmeans. Thesame chassis / engine, dullyreviewed, willbeusedwiththe eventual upgrades approvedbytheChallengeTechnicalRegulations.

ANDRÉ JUNE, 19th VILA REAL JULY, 10th BRAGA SEPTEMBER, 4th VIANA (MOJO CUP) (*) OCTOBER 2nd PORTIMÃO OCTOBER 23th VIANA DO CASTELO (*) “MOJO CUP” isthebig IBERIAN ROTAX “party”. Althoughnotscoring to the ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE in PORTUGAL andin SPAIN, thewinnerofeachclassisimmediatlyselected for theWorld ROTAX Finals.

  19. 2011:Sponsorship • Sponsor Proposal (main sponsor): • Feecash: 10,000€ / year. • Intended to particularlyfinance: kart maintenance, RaceEngineer, equipped box, travelsandaccomodations, fuel, tires andparticipationfeesineachrace. • Feespecies: graphicmaterialsofbrandvisibility. • (Other sponsor conditions to benegociated)

  20. 2011:Sponsorship • Counterparts: • Dynamicrelationshipwiththe sponsor of Bernardo, promotingthebrandinallcompetitionsthroughoutthecountry. • Comprehensivevisibilityofthebrandensured. • Kart (annexe 1); • Suit(annexe 1); • Helmet(annexe 1); • Motobike (Kawasaki 1400) ontour (anexe 2) • Bernardo´sblog; • Exibitionofthe kart,outofraces, inplaces to beagreed; • Othermeansauthorizedbytheorganization (to beagreed). • Exemples: distributionofmerchandisingbrandatraces; presenceofspecializedmass media, etc.
