Each year in North Carolina these independent colleges and universities: • Award 30% of the baccalaureate degrees • Almost 50% of the medical degrees; Over 50% of the pharmacy degrees • More than 60% of the law degrees • Graduate ¼ of the teachers who graduate from an NC college or university

BIG IMPACT. …but significantfinancial aid is available • Legislative Tuition Grant (LTG) - $1,850 for EVERY fulltime North Carolina student who attends an independent college or university in North Carolina • State Contractual Scholarship Fund (SCSF) – based on need • Teaching and nursing grants and scholarships • Other institutional funds
