Business Strategy Issues Formal Education Standards are a key component of business success today and there is a strong link between business strategy, competitiveness and innovation. How can formal education in general better address these links and how can these multi-disciplinary aspects of standardization be integrated into existing business school curricula? Workforce Planning Building on the presentation of issues in the “formal education” context, how can we improve private and public sector efforts to address skills improvement related to the links between standards and business strategy, competitiveness and innovation? Applied Research Development of real world case studies that target needs of business decision makers and illustrate key business strategy decisions related to standardization and the complex relationship between standards and innovation.
