  2. 2001-present: AIM • This was the first instant messaging program I used to communicate with my friends and classmates. Back in the days, I would exchange screen names with my classmates, so that I can receive homework help. When I’m in need of help, they’re always there to provide feedback and explain things to me. http://o.aolcdn.com/os/aim_web/aimcom/img/windows_img.png

  3. 2004-2006: Xanga • Xanga was a blog where I could post about my day and my favorite quotes and lyrics. Besides practicing my writing skills, I also reflected on my actions. This was a great way to formulate my ideas into words. http://www.xanga.com/

  4. 2005-2006: MapleStory • MapleStory is a multiplayer online game, where players communicate by typing. The game helped me practice my reading skills. I also learned more about the MapleStory language. http://nxcache.nexon.net/maplestory/img/funstuff/screenshots/116.jpg

  5. 2005-present: Yahoo! • Almost every day, I would read the news on the Yahoo! homepage. I developed a habit of reading on my own. It informed me about the current events and interesting facts. http://www.yahoo.com/

  6. 2010: Weebly • I blogged weekly about my study abroad experience in Chinese. Each week I’m assigned with a topic to write about. Most of the topics require me to compare and contrast the different aspects of the western and eastern world. http://yongxia.weebly.com/
