MARPOL, ANNEX VI PREVENTION OF THE AIR POLLUTION FROM SHIPSFUEL OIL QUALITY (Reg.VI/18) THE FUEL USED ON BOARD SHIPS SHALL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA : • IS BLENDS OF HYDROCARBONS DERIVING FROM PETROLEUM REFININGS • IS FREE FROM INORGANIC OIL • DOES NOT INCLUDE ADDED SUBSTANCES OR CHEMICAL WASTES
MARPOL, ANNEX VI PREVENTION OF THE AIR POLLUTION FROM SHIPSFUEL OIL QUALITY (Reg.VI/18) THE FUEL USED ON BOARD SHIPS DOES NOT : • EXCEED THE SULPHUR LIMITS OF 4.5% m/m (or 1.5% m/m) • CAUSE AN ENGINE TO EXCEED THE NOx EMISSION LIMITS • CONTAIN INORGANIC ACID • JEOPARDIZE THE SAFETY OF THE SHIP OR AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE MACHINERY, • IS NOT HARMFULL TO THE PERSONNEL • CONTRIBUTE OVERALL TO ADDITIONAL AIR POLLUTION
MARPOL, ANNEX VI PREVENTION OF THE AIR POLLUTION FROM SHIPSFUEL OIL QUALITY (Reg.VI/18) BUNKER DELIVERY NOTE • RECORDING OF DELIVERY OF FUEL TO BE USED ON BOARD • CONTAINS INFORMATION AS PER APPENDIX V • TO BE KEPT ON BOARD FOR INSPECTION FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS • TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY A SAMPLE OF FUEL TO BE KEPT ON BOARD FOR NOT LESS THAN TWELWE MONTHS
