  2. Dear Winnie, • I got a letter from you the day before yesterday. You asked to write to you and send you some photos. • My name is Dasha. My surname is Krivibokova. I am ten. I am from Russia. I live in a beautiful small village. There is a pine forest round it. I live on the bank of the river.There are a lot of flowers around our house. My mother grows them and I help her.

  3. I have got a big family: my Dad, my Mum, my brother and I. My father’s name is Mikhail Mikhailovich. He is forty. He is a businessman. My mother’s name is Marina Vladimirovna. She is two years younger than my father. She is a nurse. My elder brother’s name is Mikhail. He is eighteen. He is a student of the university. He takes after our father. I love my family very much.

  4. We keep a lot of pets: a dog, four rabbits, some peacocks, a lot of pigeons, hens and fish. I take care of the rabbits, the hens and the fish. My duty is to feed them.

  5. I study at school. Our school is in the forest. It is new and beautiful. I have got a lot of friends there. We study together and take part in different concerts, contests and competitions. I am fond of dancing, singing and skiing. I have got a lot of prizes and awards. At school, I get excellent marks in different subjects.

  6. Now, we are getting ready for the coming holiday, The Victory Day. There is a monument to an unknown soldier in the centre of our village. In May, we usually have a big concert for the veterans of the Great Patriotic War in the square in front of this monument. We will sing songs, recite poems and dance at the concert.
