  2. Continental • This would be the climate of the area I studied, Minneapolis, Minnesota. This climate tends to be more North in the United States • In a continental climate there are cold, very snowy, and frigid winters. • Warm summers • Many storms • Precipitation ranges for 1.4 inches per month in the winter to 3.3 inches a month in the summer • In continental climates you experience all variations of weather. It storms and rains during the summer months and snows a lot of the winter.

  3. Dry • Scarce vegetation • Very low precipitation • Always dry, not humid • Sunny • Avg. Annual precipitation is from 8-18 inches. • Avg. annual temperature for summer is 80-115 degrees and in the winter 45-70’s • This is in the SW area of the United States. Including Arizona and New Mexico.

Mild Climate • An example of one in US would be the west coast, or the South East • It gets muggy and humid in the summer time • On west coast mild winters, and cool summers • Abundant precipitation throughout the year could be 40 inches-120inches depending on location • Average Temperature is mid 40’s-60’s in winter and 70-90’s in the summer
