  2. 14001 is good for your environment AND good for your business. The ISO 14001 exists to help organizations:

  3. minimisehow their operations (processes etc.) negatively affect the environment (i.e. cause adverse changes to air, water, or land);

  4. comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements; and • continually improve in the above.

  5. ISO 14001:2004 shares many common components with ISO 9001 and AS/NZS 4801 including (but not limited to) the Continual Improvement Process of:

  6. Plan – establish objectives and processes requiredDo – implement the processesCheck – measure and monitor the processes and report results
