    2. THIRUVALLUVAR Thiruvalluvar is a great Tamil saint cum poet who is the author of the great classic –’Thirukural’ .This classic is a treatise par excellence on the art of living. It diagnoses the intricacies of human nature with consummate skill absorbing the most subtle concept of godliness, ethics, morality and humaneness. The Kurals cut across caste, creed, climes and ages and have a freshness which are applicable for the present time also. It is therefore very apt to name our charitable organization in Thiruvalluvar’s name.

    3. Thiruvalluvar Foundation was formed in the year 1997 and registered under the Societies Registration Act,1860 and the Bomaby Trust Act,1950. The birth of Thiruvalluvar Foundation is for the noble cause of participation in the progress and Contribution to the educational advancement of the Downtrodden.

    4. OBJECTIVES a) To secure unity solidarity and brotherhood among all the communities in India. b) To organize  and carry out activities in the social, educational, cultural and in such other fields  for the upliftment of the downtrodden people like Adi Dravidar community,

    5. OBJECTIVES c)  To run Educational institutions ,Hostels, Libraries and Coaching classes for the benefits of the downtrodden people  particularly the Adi Dravidar  community, d)  To establish and maintain studentship, give prizes, books and clothes and Grant-in-Aid to the poor students,  

    6. OBJECTIVES e)  To arrange and celebrate the birth anniversaries and memorial ceremonies of the great men of India.

    7. History of Thiruvalluvar Foundation Unless educated members of the Society take active interest in the development of their less privileged brethrens ,the uneducated lots can not be uplifted and awakened. Therefore, in the year 1996-97 some well-wishers from the educated lots approached like minded people for formation of an Educational and Charitable Trust for the benefits of the Downtrodden masses. The some of the members initiated in this direction are S/Shri K.M.Viswanathan, C.Panneer Selvam, C.Sendurpandi, S.Nallasekaran, Peter Daniel,M.Jeyam, A.Appadurai,S.Asai Thambi etc.

    15. TASKS AHEAD Purchase of an office premise-Funds required- Rs 10 to 15 lacs Construction of Schools/College & Hostel facilities to poor students Construction of multipurpose hall including library for our students.

    16. Other Social Activities Get-to-Gather Meetings Participation in meetings concerning with education, Public debate involving social effects, financial relief to the poor and cultural activities Publication of Quarterly News Letter touching various activities of the Foundation. Conducting Marriage Bureau wherein Foundation helps in finding out suitable matches for eligible bachelors/spinsters of the Community.
