Intel vs. AMD • Many of the technologies used by both manufactures are very similar and equally popular. • The Intel Chipset provides a little more battery life for the laptop, but the AMD has a higher bus speed. • The AMD is a little more powerful in graphic’s or gaming because of the 64 bit processor • For normal uses, internet, e-mail, etc the AMD or the Intel will do what they are designed to do.
RAM AND HD • The minimum system memory (ram) is currently 512mb, the standard is 1024mb, and the market high is 3Gb. • The average hard drive for laptops is between 80 and 120Gb, but there are some with 200GB • The majority of today’s desktops come with 200GB, but some upper end systems can have up 800GB.
