Classroom Expectations • No food or drink • Be respectful to everyone. • Be on time and come prepared. • Do your own work, no copying. • Do not talk during announcements. • Try your best. Don’t give up if you begin to struggle. • Advocate for yourself. If you need help, ask and/or attend tutoring.
Procedures • Sharpen pencils at the beginning of class. • Teacher desk/area is off limits. • When a teacher is talking you should be quiet and paying attention. • Stay in your desk. • Straighten up your desk at the end of class. • Stay seated until you have been dismissed. • Throw trash away on your way out of class.

Translate and Solve • Five times a number increased by 5 is the same as 3 times the same number decreased by 7. • Four times a number plus 10 minus two times the same number is 6.
Solving Inequalities • Solve and graph the solution set of: 2x - 6 < 2 2x - 6 < 2 2x < 8 Add 6 to both sides. Divide both sides by 2. x < 4 Open circle at 4, since x can not equal 4, and an arrow to the left, because we want values less than 4.
