What LLL IS • Self-directed learning • Knowing what we already know and what we don’t (i.e., Learning Issues) • Learning to learn • Learning to critically assess what we read, hear, or see • Learning to re-assess the whole process on an ongoing process
What is LLL at IUSM? • Knowing our limitations (gaps) in medical knowledge, experience, and skills • Identifying resources that can be used to fill in those gaps • Critically assessing the quality of the information we obtain (via any format) based on criteria of validity, reliability, etc.
