Ripple Protocol • This work considers a WMN with a chain topology • nodes are equally spaced and radios of nodes that are not neighbors do not interfere with each other
Frame format • Data frame • NULL frame • ACK frame • Request-to-Send(RTS) • Clear-to-Send(CTS) • Ready-to-Receive(RTR) Note:Ripple中用來傳送資料訊框的時間長度(duration)為一固定的值
Frame format(Cont.) • RTS VS RTR 差別(訊框格式相同) • IFSRTS當作SIFS • IFSRTR:SIFS+TRTS+SIFS=2SIFS+TRTS • 註:TRTS表示傳送完畢一個RTS訊框所花的時間
操作狀態 • Transmit(Tx): • 一個準備要發送資料訊框的節點須先轉移至此傳送狀態。 • Receive(Rx): • 一個準備要接收資料訊框的節點須先轉移至此傳送狀態。 • Listen: • 旁聽(overhear)到CTS訊框的隱藏節點(hidden node)或旁聽到RTS訊框的暴露節點(exposed node)都會進入此狀態。 • Idle: • 為所有節點的初始狀態,任何一個節點發生不可預期的異常狀態都會返回此初始狀態。
