Wayne Brown Faculty of Information Technology Multimedia University (Cyberjaya Campus) Venue: BR1022 (FIT, Cyberjaya) Date: 23-Feb-2001 (Friday) Time: 10:30 am-12:00 noon. Image compression is an important field of research for computer graphics and image processing applications. This exciting research area has made some fascinating discoveries. This talk will present an overview of image compression techniques, along with how they are combined into a single, standard compression scheme known as JPEG.
