Shapes. Rectangular Solid. A rectangular solid is a 3D object with six sides, and each side is a rectangle. Cube. A cube is a 3D shape with six square faces. Cylinder. A cylinder is a 3D figure with two parallel bases that are congruent circles.

  2. Rectangular Solid A rectangular solid is a 3D object with six sides, and each side is a rectangle.

  3. Cube A cube is a 3D shape with six square faces

  4. Cylinder A cylinder is a 3D figure with two parallel bases that are congruent circles. Parallel means the same distance apart. Congruent mean they are the same shape.

  5. Cone A cone is a solid with a circular base and a vertex that is not in the same plane as the base A vertex is a point, so it is the top of the cone.

  6. Pyramid A pyramid is a 3D figure whose base is a polygon and whose faces are triangles with a common vertex. A polygon is a figure with many sides.
