  1. Years after the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in June 1991, the Chamber of Furniture of the Philippines (CFIP –Pampanga Chapter) has initiated the establishment of Pampanga Furniture City Project to support the furniture manufacturers rise above these ruins.

Pampanga Furniture City • To assist CFIP – Pampanga members in high risk and • medium risk areas in relocating to safer areas; • To preserve and secure the various asset like machinery and equipment; • To ensure continuous and strengthened livelihood of • furniture workers of affected firms; • To generate job opportunities for the lahar victims in the • resettlement area; • To protect a strong furniture industry presence in the • province.
