  2. ステート・オブ・オリジン State of Origin Game 1: New South Wales win 22-12 June 5, 2019 • The State of Origin series is the annual best-of-three Australian rugby league football (ラグビーリーグフットボール) match series between two state representative sides, the New South Wales Blues & Queensland Maroons • Referred to as Australian sport's greatest rivalry, the State of Origin series is one of Australia's premier sporting events, attracting huge television audiences & sell-out crowds

A Tsuda Student in Canberra オーストラリアにはState of Originというクイーンズランドとニューサウスウェールズ出身の選手が対戦するラグビーの試合があり、毎年人気です。クイーンズランドのブルーズのカ ラーは青、ニューサウスウェールズのマローンズのカラーは赤紫(赤ワイン色?)で、State of Originの時期に、ニューサウスウェールズのバーなどで、青い服を着ているとお兄さんに絡まれるそうです(笑)2006年から2013年までクイーン ズランドが勝ち続け、ギネス記録にもなったようです(State of Originはこの2チームしか戦わないのになぜギネス記録になったのかはわかりませんが・・・)。

Indigenous players to boycott anthem at State of Origin • Four Aboriginal players taking part in the match will not sing the national anthem, which they say doesn't represent indigenous Australia • they say the words "young and free" are disrespectful to 60,000 years of pre-European Indigenous history. • Liberal MP Craig Kelly says “a lot of Australians” would back national anthem re-wording from “young” to “strong”
