The RED hatFeelings Fire Warmth • How are you feeling? • Are your feelings warm or cool? • Reaction without reflection * intution * emotions * feelings * presentiments
The BLACK hatCaution – risk hazards, obstacles, problems and shortcomings • Is everything going to happen as planned? • What's wrong? * caution * logical thinking * proofs * consequences * shortcomings * will it work as planned
The WHITE hatcomputer – neutral and objective, provides facts and data • What is the available information? • What information is missing? • What information do we still need? • How are we to get the needed information? • Which of the facts concern the discussed problem? • Which are the most important ones? • Is the information we have reliable? * checking the data * official and non-official/reliable and non-reliable information
The YELLOW hatbeing positive and constructive • Which are the positives? • Which are the advantages? • Why will this idea work? • In what way will the implementation of the idea bring benefits to us? * optimism * logical but positive reflection * practical implementation * opportunities
The GREEN hatbe creative, look for alternative ways and new ideas • What are the possible ways to act in the given situation? • Other options – how to deal with the problem. * new, non-routine ideas * suggestions * alternatives * ways to deal with the problem
