How To Read Your Transcript. What is on your transcript?. Every class you have ever taken for high school credit. The grade you received for every class you have taken for high school credit. The credits you have attempted and received for each class you have taken for high school credit.

What is on your transcript? • Every class you have ever taken for high school credit. • The grade you received for every class you have taken for high school credit. • The credits you have attempted and received for each class you have taken for high school credit. • Your overall high school GPA. • Your class rank.
What does it take to graduate? Graduation Requirements: • Earn a minimum of 23 credits • Pass the GHSGT or EOCTs • Pass all courses that have an EOCT (Class of 2015) • Math – 4 units required • English – 4 units required • Science – 4 units required • Social Studies – 3 units required • Health/PE – 1 unit required (Unless you take 3 years of ROCT) • Career Tech/Foreign Lang/Fine Arts – 3 unit combination required • Electives – 4 units
English Credits • All students earn 4 English credits to include: • 9th lit., 10th/World Lit, American Lit and Brit Lit. or Advanced Composition. • Elective English classes do not count towards required English classes. However, they do count towards elective credits for graduation. • The grade earned is next to each class. • The credit earned will show next to each class.
English Examples • This student has earned all credits attempted in English. • This student has also earned an elective English credit (Newspaper 1A). • This student has not earned any English credits.
Math Examples • Both students have earned all math credits attempted. • This student had to recover math credits.
Science and Social Studies Examples • Science • Social Studies • Required classes include: World History, US History, Economics and American Government
Georgia High School Assessment Summary • All Students MUST pass the Writing portion of the GHSGT. • All students must also pass either an EOCT or a GHSGT in English, Math, Science and Social Studies.
Credit Summary • This shows the number of credits you have attempted and the number of credits you have earned.
GPA and Class Rank • GPA is provided as Unweighted (with no additional points for honors or AP classes), and Weighted (with additional quality points for honors and AP classes. • The Class Rank is where you rank among other students in your grade at WHS. The first number is your standing, the second number is the total number of students in your grade.
TAA • TAA is a pass/fail course and WILL go on your transcript!
Remember!!! • Once you get a transcript grade it is yours to keep and NEVER goes away! • Just because you take a class does not mean you will earn the credit for it. You must pass the class and have good attendance!!! • If you have to re-take a class, the first failing grade stays on your transcript.
DON’T FORGET…. Students will NOT receive credit for a course if they are in violation of the attendance policy. Attendance Policy: 7 or more absences in one semester = NO CREDIT unless you are granted an attendancewaiver.
