  3. Experience Summary Cont. • Concentration • 35 – 6,000 mg/L (recorded by LISST-SL) • Velocity • 1.8 – 8 ft/s • Depth • 2 – 30 ft

  4. Quarterly Shipment Going Out This Week >800 samples (photo from this morning) LISST-SL Testing: ~180 samples- ~50 Sand/Fine Split ~50 Full Particle Size Labs Being Used: ~150 – Kentucky Lab (Pipette/VA) ~30 – CVO Lab (SediGraph/Sieve, Pycnometer) (also has new method for digital imaging full particle size analysis for low concentrations)

  5. Pycnometer Testing Specific Gravity Ranges •Sand: 2.63 – 2.67 •Silt: 2.65 – 2.70 •Clay & SiltyClay: 2.67 – 2.90 •Organic Soils: <2.0

  6. LISST-SL Testing Guidelines Laser In-Situ Scattering and Transmissometry (LISST) Stream Lined (SL) • Background/Clean Water Checks • Before and after testing at a site • Instrument should be left in the water for 35 minutes prior to background checks and testing • Single Vertical Samples • “a”, “b”, and optional “c” samples • Transit rate of the LISST-SL < 1 ft per 5 seconds • Point Samples • “a”, “b”, and optional “c” samples • At least at 0.6 depth, and 0.2, 0.4, and/or 0.8 as conditions allow

  7. Typical Boat Setup
