When did it first come to Russia? • Judaism developed in Russia 4,000 years ago.
how did Judaism spread to Russia? • In the seventh century jews from greece, the middle east, and mediterranean migrated to the Caucasus and different regions. • These Jews were able to spread their beliefs in places they settled in.

The judaism beliefs are called the 13 principles of faith • God exist • God is one and unique • God is incorporeal • God is eternal • Prayer is to be directed to God alone and no other • The words of prophets are true • Moses’ prophecies are true, and Moses is the greatest of the prophets. • The written Torah(first 5 books of the Bible) • There will be no other Torah • God knows the thoughts and the deeds of men • God will reward the good and punish the wicked • The messiah will return • The dead will be resurrected
