Promote good practice and secure value for money. Support the social and economic life of communities around sites. Key emphasis is on safety, security and protection of the environment. Without these factors we will have failed in our mission. Our requirement and expectation is that any contractor working in this environment has to meet the highest standards in these areas We are duty bound to introduce competition into this previously closed market in the UK. Indeed we are creating a NEW market for decommissioning in which we hope to see many new players. Research and development will remain a key aspect of our work and we are already sponsoring significant programmes to support our mission Given the long term nature of this business it is important to ensure that the right skills are available at the right time to ensure uninterrupted decommissioning ……..
