  2. Info. • Born in New Britten Conn. • 1859-1925 • Made Football, Played, and coached also. • Has an award named after him. • Invented the first football. • Created the “wing” offence.

  3. Walter Camp attended Yale Med. School and graduated in 1882. After that he would coach his newly found sport for his alma mater and then for Stanford. He was inducted into the College Hall of Fame shortly after. He also ran and then became the president of a clock and watch company. Although he is known for football.

  4. Purpose: • There an be a sport between baseball and basketball. • To entertain people in a new, fun way.

  5. Benefit: • Make people more active. • Give kids something to do • Develop social skills

  6. Why is Walter Camp my favorite inventor? • It’s as simple as this, I love the sport. That’s all. Without Walter Camp I don’t know how my life would be like.
