  1. The Human Body Mrs. Bagwell’s Class

  2. Digestive System

  3. Digestive System • As you can see the digestive system is made of a TON of parts! All of these parts are located in the middle of your torso. All of these parts work as a team to break down your food so it can be used as useful nutrients for your body!

  4. Respiratory System

  5. Respiratory System • You breathe every minute of the day, without even thinking about it. • Without breathing we can’t survive!

  6. Circulatory System

  7. Circulatory System • Your heart is about the size of your fist! How cool is that? Just ball your hand into a fist and that is how big your heart is. Your heart constantly pumps blood throughout your body every minute of every day!

  8. Muscular System

  9. Muscular System • When you think of muscles, what do you think of? Strong arms and legs? Correct, but your heart is also a muscle! Your muscles help pump blood throughout your body, move, and lift heavy objects. You control some of your muscles but others (like your heart) work on their own. Did you know that you have over 600 muscles in your body!

  10. Skeletal System

  11. Skeletal System • An adults skeletal system is made up of 206 bones and 32 teeth. Your skeletal system serves as giving your body it’s form, assisting with bodily movements and producing new blood cells.
