Water pH • Measure of intensity of alkali or acid contained in the water. • Pure water is 7.0, Recommend 6.5-8.5 • Lower than 5.0 may cause excessive corrosion, bitter metallic taste • Higher than 8.5 means there may be lots of sodium bicarbonate in the water, slippery feel, soda taste
