Task Force Mission • To enhance State and Territorial hazardous waste information management systems in support of the RCRA hazardous waste program as well as contribute to the development and establishment of national hazardous waste information management systems, policies, and system changes and improvements.
Task Force Focus • RCRAInfo (including Change Management involvement) • Biennial Reporting • E-manifest • CROMERR • New rules (DSW, Academic Labs, etc.) • Central Data Exchange • State Review Framework • Any other hazardous waste program data-related issue or interest • Involvement in other groups
Task Force Projects • Position Paper on EPA RCRAInfo resources (last year) • RCRAInfo User’s Guidance Manual (in process) • RCRAInfo Management Tools guidance (future) • Maintain state data and program lead contact list (ties in with the Change Management lead contact lists) - ongoing • Help recruit for Change Management workgroups – ongoing as needed
Change Management Connection • PIM TF Chair is one of the state members of the Change Management (CM) Coordination Group (CG) • Currently, three of the four CG state members are part of the TF • A number of CM Program Group members are PIM or other ASTSMWO TF members
TF Practical Specifics • Most work done via quarterly conference calls and e-mail • At least one face-to-face meeting a year, typically at the Mid-year meeting in April • Other meeting opportunities – ASTSWMO All Hands Meetings, ASTSWMO HW Manager Conferences, RCRAInfo User Conferences
