New Enterprise Portals Microsoft Sharepoint web based portal is the technology Information Technology Services and Miami-Dade County Public Schools is using to satisfy the objectives of ensuring the highest quality of education for our students.
PARENT PORTAL • A tool to help you effectively and consistently keep track and view information on your children's progress in the classroom through one communication channel. • This portal will assist you in participating more actively in order to influence your child’s achievement.
PARENT PORTAL How Do You Access The Parent Portal? • Obtain your 6 digit Parent Identification Number and Student I.D. Number for each child By visiting your child’s school • Create a parent account, login to: www.dadeschools.net Select Parent Tab – click on Parent Portal • It is recommended (after 24 hrs) to reset your password with password management P-Synch • Login to– Parent Portal

M-DCPS Acceptable Use Policy • Read in detail • If you agree to these terms, • Select Accept One Time Only
Necessary Information for Registration • Your child’s MDCPS 7 digit Student ID • Parent 6 digit Pin Number • Student Date of Birth • Student birth place State or Country
A single Parent Account for all children in your family. Parent/Guardians with joint legal custody must share the Parent Account. REGISTRATION
Adding Another Student Repeat the process, for ALL your children attending MDCPS. You need a Parent Pin Number for each child

Grades When monitoring your children’s grades: • Talk with your children about the grades they have earned. • Praise their efforts and accomplishments. • If grades indicate your children are struggling in a subject area, discuss with your children what they need to improve. • Communicate with the teacher or counselor.
School Attendance • There is probably no factor more important to successful school progress than regular and punctual school attendance. • Students who are tardy or absent excessively from school will fall behind in academic achievement. • Excessive school absenteeism precedes grade failure, loss of interest, and may result in students withdrawing from school.
