  2. “What is it?” A federally compliant and state approved procurement method to choose vehicles or bus shelters while avoiding the time, expense and hassle of creating bid documents or settling for piggybacks from the state or other agency procurements.

Send to Dealer or Manufacturer Identify evaluation criteria-past performance, warranty, inventory of parts, delivery schedule. Evaluate submittals based upon award evaluation criteria developed and select quote most advantages to Agency Prepare order confirmation for all vehicles to be ordered

Steps to take… Review and confirm order with the bus Dealer/Manufacturer Check Member Status with CALACT and Log into your Membership to access the Cooperatives Bus Order System Upload final Quote to CALACT/MBTA Purchasing Cooperatives Web Based Ordering System. Include signed floor plan with Quote Receive Assignment to Purchase from CALACT Prepare Purchase Order 49 CFR 26.49(a)(4) requires FTA recipients to report its vehicle procurement awards within 30 days of award
