1) How pupils should behave when the internet is being used in class?
Pupils should be time-concious when using internet in class. They should know how to plan and use the given time wisely. They should not be distracted by things such as changing the font size, and colour or the advertisements at the website that we are given.
While on the internet, the pupil has to be self-aware as you are NOT alone online. At times, a pupil at such a young age may lose their instincts and believe such scams (eg. A pop-out advertisment saying that they can get a toy for free). Therefore proper care and moral education needs to be situated.
The pupil has to stick on track to the task assigned. The pupil has to plan time by spending a certain amount of time (eg. 15 minutes) to do research, and the remaining time given to type out (eg. The article) tasked.
They should remain focus to their task and not do anything else that is distracting. (For eg. Instead of doing the class blog post, the pupil goes to Facebook and chats with his/her friend). In the end, the pupil will be punished/scolded by the teacher the next day for not completing their homejoy, which is not something a student would treasure.
The pupil needs to use the internet wisely, especially in the occasion that the pupil is not monitored. They should instead use the internet to do research and keep up to the current affairs around the world. It is important for them to do this as they will be naive if they do not have this information.
