Who said a helicopter crash was a bad thing? • Parents know what their kids are doing • School spirit- “Friends of NMS” • Access school info from work- NMS blog • In the car • At the rink • Over dinner • It’s all at their fingertips...
Are you serious, my son failing? • Marking software • E-mail: have the parents contact you. • Organize parental contact info • Share detailed progress reports w/ parents
“But I didn’t know, you didn’t tell me.” • Wiki’s-Lesson and unit planning • Continual access to notes, presentations and assignments • Many subjects, one wiki • Illness? Vacation? Stay up to date!

Reality bites! • Time consuming- do it right • Accountability- excuses still exist • BE AWARE OF TONE- edit!!! • internet “courage” • Create an –mail folder to save all parental communication • Unable to reach everyone- Be confident!
