Anti-Federalists • Against- Why? • 1. Take power away from the states. • 2. Afraid for individual / states rights. - Want a “Bill of Rights”
Ratification • Federalist Promise a Bill of Rights to get ratification. • 1789- New Hampshire becomes 9th state to ratify • Madison puts in the Bill of Rights (1st 10 Amendments)- guarantee of individual and state’s rights
