When you are traveling with a partner you are sharing a lot of the costs together. The cost of hotel room, rent and gas for the car, all those cost can easily be shared within your buddies. Traveling with a partner makes a lot of economic sense. Sometimes buying some services in quantity such as tickets to an event or show is cheaper vs buying a single ticket. Another good resource to share cost in is food. When you buy food in larger quantity it seems to be cheaper and that cost can easily be shared with your travel buddy.
