Configuration Review • Configuration Review • Employees or Configuration Reviewers will review other employees’ Configurations • You will not be able to review your own Configurations • The review process will require you to validate the information within a Configuration • Once the review is complete, you either Request Approval or Reject the Configuration

  3. Configuration Review • All information in the Configuration must be validated • Reading the Configuration is not validating it • The information in the Configuration must be checked manually • Even if you know the information to be correct you must manually check it

Request Approval • If the Configuration passed the review process • Request Approval • An explanation on how you validated the configuration is required • The Creator and Last Updater each receive 1 Point • If the Creator and Last Updater are the same person the 2 Points are granted • The Configuration is forwarded to the Configuration Approvers for final approval

  5. Request Approval • Points are given to the Reviewer based on the following scale:

Reject Configuration • If the Configuration failed the review process • Reject Configuration • An explanation on why the Configuration failed the review process is required • You receive no Points for rejecting a Configuration • The Creator and Last Updater each receive -2 Points • If the Creator and Last Updater are the same person the -4 Points are applied • The Configuration is forwarded to the Creator and Last Updater for correcting

Reject Configuration Process • Configuration is returned to the Creator and/or Updater to correct • Creator and/or Updater must correct the Configuration • Once corrected, the Configuration is forwarded to the original Reviewer for Approval • The person who corrects the Configuration receives 2 Points

Approval Process • The Configuration Approver reviews the Configuration and the reviewer’s validation notes • If Approved • The approver receives 2 Points • The Configuration has completed its review cycle • If rejected • The approver must explain why the Configuration was rejected • The approver receives 4 Points • The original reviewer receives -20 Points • Configuration is forwarded to the original reviewer for correcting

Configuration Review Page • The Configuration Review page contains 3 Queues • Review Queue • Pending Configurations you must review • Corrections Queue • Pending Configurations you must correct • Approval Queue • Reviewers – Configurations pending Approval • Approvers – Configurations you must approve or reject

Configuration Review Page • Your queues will be initially blank. • To request a configuration for review click on the “Request New Configuration to Review” button. • A split-frame window is presented in order to review and edit the configuration. The upper frame is Configuration Review and the lower frame is your ConnectWise Configuration page. The lower frame may request you authenticate to your ConnectWise instance when initially launched.

Configuration Review Page • The split-frame containing the Configuration will allow you to view, edit and save Configuration information. • Certain features for ConnectWise do not work within an split-frame, such as selecting a new Manufacturer. • Clicking on the Configuration’s name highlighted in yellow will open a fully functioning ConnectWise window for editing the Configuration. • We will be releasing window layout that will fix this issue.

  12. Configuration Review Notification • When a Configuration is forwarded, either passed the review process or was rejected, an instant message will be delivered to the individuals now responsible for processing the Configuration.

Configuration Review Scoring • Configuration Review scores for past time periods are viewable by anyone in your system • You can always see your own Configuration Reviews scores using the Nilear Score My Team module • For the current scoring Time Period, other people’s Configuration Review scores will been hidden and the scores will not be ranked • Management can see all scores, at all times

Configuration Review Thresholds • Configuration Review can automatically shut off during business hours when there are too many pending service or monitoring tickets • Your Nilear Administrator can set these thresholds to ensure employees are focused on tickets during busy times • Thresholds are set under Account Settings -> Configuration Requirements
