Characteristics of different learning styles... • The meerkat tends to work in teams, often sharing leadership and working to support one another and share the workload. They co-operate and their style of learning could be likened to a democratic manner. • The baboon follows an authoritarian style of learning, whereby one leader dictates the orderly behaviour of all others. They will fight for survival if threatened and the way they interact is hierarchal. As educators, we need to ensure we cater for all learning styles, and appreciate and enrich differences.

As educators of students learning in the 21st century, we bring our own unique Experiences to the classroom. We also need to remember every child has their own Unique experiences and learning styles. We need to constantly investigate ways to ‘connect, understand & act’ together so That learning is stimulating and not simply habitual.
