Tell me something project By: Cheyenne McKellips Photography
A few Types of Photography that I enjoy • Fashion Photography • Underwater Photography • Night Photography • Landscape • Black and White
Fashion Photography • Fashionphotography is a type of photography devoted to displaying clothing and other fashion items. • Fashion photography is most often conducted for advertisements or fashion magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, or Allure. • Over time, fashion photography has developed its own aesthetic in which the clothes and fashions are enhanced by the presence of locations or accessories.
Underwater Photography • Underwater photography is the act of taking pictures under water. • Normally, this would take place while scuba diving, snorkeling, or just swimming • Underwater Photography is a very challenging area of photography since it involves a lot of equipment.
Night Photography • Night Photography refers to photographs taken outdoors between dusk and dawn. • Night photographers generally have a choice between using artificial light and using a long exposure, exposing the scene for seconds or even minutes, in order to give the film enough time to capture a good image. • With the progress of high-speed films, higher-sensitivity digital image sensors, wide-aperture lenses, and the greater power of urban lights, night photography is more and more possible using available light.
Landscape Photography • This popular style of photography is • practiced by professionals and amateurs alike. • Landscape Photography is a type of photography used to show different spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. • Landscape photographers usually attempt not only to convey the documentary aspect, but also an appreciation of the scenery that is being photographed. • Photographs typically capture the presence of nature and are often free of man-made obstructions.
Black and White Photography • Often called monochrome photography • Black and white photography is considered more subtle and interpretive, and less realistic than color photography • Can include many shades of gray • (One of my favorite types!!)
What Photography is to me Photography to me is more than just taking pictures with a camera. It’s even more than just a hobby. To me taking pictures is a way of viewing the world in a different way. Seeing the pictures people take, you begin to realize how amazing the objects around you are. I think it allows me to appreciate the world more for what it actually is, rather than what everyone believes it is.Each person sees it in a different way. This shows how they take their pictures. My favorite season to take pictures in would have to be summer. The way the flowers are, and how all the animals are around is really cool. And in my pictures, I like it to be sunny, or super cloudy. This way, it’s dramatic, which I like. Photography is a way of showing yourself. I may appear to not be into nature, or that I am a big city girl but really that’s my favorite part about taking pictures. I can be outside, and take pictures of everything around me. I like to look at things a different way though. I like perspective and how everything is placed, so that’s what I like to take pictures of. In the next slide, you can see some of the pictures that I’ve taken personally.
