Rules Precisions – Paul VanSlyke • FIS TD Update Invitation – going out in next couple of days • ACR Update (Jeff & Gary) • ACR – U-rule for Helmets • Stepping Back- see below 614.2.3 • 614.2.3 Interdiction to Continue after a competitor stops If a competitor comes to a complete stop (e.g. after a fall), he interdiction is valid in all events with a fixed start interval (DH, SG, GS). Only exception is for SL (art. 661.4.1), as long as the competitor does not interfere with the run of the following competitor or has been passed by a competitor.

Level 100 Clinic – “Club Delivery” • Delivered by the club’s head coach or program director • Must be Level 300 or higher • Receives all materials from USSA Sport Ed • Include Level 100 content during staff training • Flexibility in scheduling • Clubs should contact Haley by September 14 to arrange
Fall Alpine National Coaches Academy • November 2-6 at Copper Mountain • Options for whole program, single-day, or just classroom • Level 200 and higher, program directors and head coaches • alpine.usskiteam.com/alpine/national-coaches-academies
SkillsQuest Tournaments • Primary target U14 and under • Part of U16 National Championship • Stand-alone or integrated with traditional races • Certified evaluators • Full day training sessions • Scoring • Bronze, silver, gold levels similar to NASTAR
SkillsQuest program for clubs • Tools clubs will be able to access • Skiing skills assessment manual and videos • Downloadable educational materials for parents, coaches and athletes • On-line scoring and tracking tools • Track, reward and recognize athlete progress in all areas of Alpine Training System
