Methodology • identify the problem with and within the community • identify and negotiate the solutions with the community • door to door visits to assist and encourage the community for the changing • Duration of two years
Main activities • health personnel training • local and participatory diagnosis • local promoters training • base line of diarrhea occurrence • develop diarrhea prevention materials integrated into IMCI materials
Outcomes • health professionals and promoters from MOH and NGO’s able to apply an effective behavioral changing methodology • guide to reapply the methodology • diarrhea prevention materials integrated into IMCI materials
Expected Results • new pattern of behavior incorporated in the values and practices of the community • reduction of the diarrhea cases in children under five
